Brilliant idea! Why didn't I think of that?

Here's my effort, a bit pathetic in hindsight.

I made these for Christmas breakfast - AWESOME. My daughter (who's at the picky eater stage) requested them again this morning. Luckily I had saved a few - I used Challah bread, which made for BIG pieces. I used a spash of Dark Rum (not having spiced or "regular" on hand... I bet a citrusy rum would be a nice spring or summer touch.

I started to make this for my kids dinner but I kept "trying" the rum eggnog. Needless to say my kids were on their own again. This recipe sounds so good I'm going to try again real soon.
Today I'm going to make DRUNKEN TURKEY for my inlaws (grrrrr..). We'll see how that goes!

I always look forward to this time of year when Purity Dairies, here in middle Tennessee, starts stocking the shelves of local grocery stores with their Eggnog and Boiled Custard. Usually we stand in front of the refrigerator with our own quarts and have a chug, but now the Eggnog will have a new way to entertain us!
Great idea and I agree with Randy de la O..excellent website!
