WOW! I can’t wait to try out the muffins and cupcakes. I’m a huge fan of the chocolate stout cupcakes you’ve posted on here. The first time I made them, I only had dark cocoa in my cabinets – so in it went! Very yummy!
I love how every foodie on the internet is posted pumpkin-related recipes this weekend. My boyfriend and I attempted our first pumpkin cheesecake yesterday (for a dinner party we are throwing Tuesday). Hopefully it turned out as well as your minis!
[…] More Pumpkin Recipes -After my mild pumpkin failure yesterday I went on a hunt for good pumpkin recipes. Nicole has had some serious pumpkin successes as shown by this photo roundup. (@ Pinch My Salt) […]
I made your recipe for pumpkin scones. They just came out of the oven and they turned out great. I make cinnamon raisin scones all the time and I’m glad that you came up with ones that are not just flat muffins. I did tweak it because of lack of ingredients on hand. I only had half and half instead of heavy cream. I did not have cake flour but used the trick of using substituting 1/4 cup of corn starch for 1/4 cup of flour. I will make these again since I have some pumpkin left over. Thanks.
I entered the recipe into a calorie calculator and if this makes 8 servings, they have about 270 calories per scone and 11g of fat without the icing and including the raisins. Just in case you were wondering 🙂 They are also pretty high in iron and vitamin A. I used this calculator: http://caloriecount.about.com/cc/recipe_analysis.php
I have spent a good amount of time going through Sig on the way to the sand box. Long live beers in the pool at the Sigg Inn! I am a first time visitor and I would like to say that your photos are simply amazing. Definitely subscribing. Thanks for your (and DH’s) service.

I made the Pumpkin spice cake!!!!! YUMMMM-O! Everyone at work loved it! It was soooo moist! I used one of your cream cheese spread recipes, but put it on the side in case people did not want the spread. I used cream cheese, powdered sugar and TRADER JOE’s Pumpkin butter! I had to improvise, I did not like the stick of butter in the recipe. Can you use this cake recipe to make cupcakes? Or does have to be altered? I would love to make it as cupcakes! I can’t wait to make the Red Velvet next!!!
I love fall and all the pumpkin recipes that come out. Great post! Will definitely be making some of these this year 🙂 I’d like to share my favorite healthy pumpkin recipe: http://bit.ly/GZygWy Pumpkin Raisin Cookies. Don’t let the word cookie fool you into thinking it’s not healthy! Hope to share more recipes.
