We Are Exhausted!

Smack in His New Bed

And by we, I mean me.

I think that perhaps the whole ordeal of moving back to the United States from Sicily has finally caught up with me. Whatever it is, I just can’t manage to pull together a decent food blog post. I’ve been working hard, have taken plenty of photos and even created a couple of new recipes to share. But at the end of the day, I just haven’t been able to put them all together. My brain has decided to take a vacation and I’m going to let it.

But, since I am still participating in National Blog Posting Month, I am required to give you something new every single day of November. And today is another day. So, I’m giving you another dog photo because I just happen to have an adorable Boston Terrier that is rather photogenic. That one up above is Smack in his new red collar and new red fluffy bed. After I bought the bed, I saw on the tag that it’s supposed to be a cat bed. Ooops! I won’t tell him.

I also have to show you this gorgeous sunset we had the other day.

San Diego Sunset

It’s been a while since a sunset took my breath away but that’s exactly what this one did. If only I had been at the beach!

So that’s what I have for you today. Tomorrow is my birthday and it is also my cousin Jason’s birthday. I have promised to create and post a special recipe in honor of his birthday but you’ll have to wait ’til tomorrow to see what it is! And maybe I’ll even bake myself a cake. Well, probably not. I think I’ll take myself out to a movie instead. Any suggestions?

    Happy Birthday!

A little brain vacation encourages creativity! 🙂

Relax and settle in — i would think the time change alone is evil.

I said Happy Birthday on Facebook (ditto!), but I just wanted to say that I thought you were super-ambitious to do NaBloPoMo in the middle of an international move, but you are doing great!! Almost done!

I just finished YOUR special birthday sandwich, so expect something up and posted in a bit. You’ll probably be asleep by then, but it will still be there tomorrow morning…and forever, unless the internet dies.

It’s okay, I have gotten up several times in the middle of the night to find the cat sprawled out spread eagle on the dog’s bed. I think smack is just settling the score on behalf of our house.

A d*g on a cat bed? My cats add, “What?!” 🙂

Some shopping should help shake the weariness of moving.

I just discovered your blog and I love it! Especially since you have a Boston Terrier! My in-laws have one that found me almost 10 years ago. His name is Java and he’s been such a joy for them. (we moved to DC and couldn’t take him with us so they kept him).

Barbara: Too bad you couldn’t take your puppy to DC but it’s great that your in-laws adopted him! My in-laws have three bostons and Smack got to go up to Oregon to visit his ‘cousins’ over Christmas. Four boston terriers running around a house is a funny sight to see! Thanks for stopping by 🙂
