Learning to Live Together

Smack and Wilbur: The Face-off

I’m pretty much settled in to my sister’s house now but my dog Smack is still getting used to the fact that he’s sharing a house with a Bull Mastiff named Wilbur. Wilbur is still a puppy and, at 6 months and 70 pounds now, is not nearly finished growing.

Smack and Wilbur

Wilbur likes to give Smack lots of kisses! Unfortunately, he also likes to step on him.

Smack and Wilbur 2

Smack likes to think he’s in control when Wilbur is laying down. He isn’t.

Smack and Wilbur in Bed

I’m not sure if sharing a bed is going to work out for these two!

At least they like each other - Wilbur just needs to remember that he's HUGE! =) I hope the animal's are able to live in harmony soon.

Great pics! I loves me some dogs! Right now, all I have is Charlotte, my Cailco. I adore her, but I've always been a Dog Momma first and foremost. I want another puppy. How was your Thanksgiving? Mine? Typically Kendrick! Take care!! The lime sugar cookies look fantastic!!!! LK

Corinne: Yeah, he has no clue. And Smack needs to learn when it's best to just walk away :-)

Ruby: Of course I have a million more but I'm still trying to keep this a food blog most of the time :-)

LK: My big fluffy cat is here too but she's confined to my bedroom most of the time. She doesn't have a problem with Wilbur but he's not sure what to make of her! My Thanksgiving was great, ate too much as usual :-)

Christina: Yes, they're adorable until they're at each other's throats :-)

Awwww, such cute boys! It's wonderful that they get along...being a puppy helps! And how wonderful that your starter made it. Nothing like having a well-traveled bread dough. Flying with bubbling white stuff probably wouldn't have been good!

That is too cute! I have a chihuaha who thinks he rules the world, only to be manhandled by my (larger) cats. Ahhh.... will they ever learn?

Katie: I just made my first bread from the well-traveled starter today! It tastes great and now I'm even happier that I shipped it! Deborah: Thanks :-) Andrea: My dog gets totally pushed around by cat, too! He weighs more but she appears bigger because of her 'furriness'! Mrs. L: Thanks! I'm sure there will be more popping up every once in a while :-)

I have been reading your blog for just a short time after I found it using the stumble upon app, I didn't know you had a Boston! I have two and they are such little characters. Just wanted to say Hi and that I enjoy your blog.
